The Government of Sindh has officially announced a public holiday for the occasion of “Youm-e-Takbeer,” to be observed on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
This decision was announced through a formal notification issued by the General Administration & Coordination Department of the Sindh government.
According to the official notification, all government offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of the Government of Sindh will remain closed on this day. However, essential services will continue to operate as usual to ensure public safety and basic necessities are met.

This declaration aims to provide citizens with an opportunity to commemorate Youm-e-Takbeer , a significant religious observance in the Islamic calendar. The move reflects the government’s commitment to respecting cultural and religious traditions while ensuring that essential services remain operational to maintain public order and convenience.
Citizens are advised to plan their activities accordingly, especially those working in non-essential sectors, as offices and institutions will be closed on May 28, 2025. Essential services, such as healthcare, emergency response, and utilities, will continue to function without interruption.
