Pakistan’s National T20 Cup 2020 – Complete Schedule

Pakistan’s National T20 Cup 2020 has taken the home ground, captivating the die hard cricket fans in its magical bubble. The announcement from Pakistan’s Cricket Board [PCB] came on 27^th September, as they announced the seventh national T20 competition.

Details of National T20 Cup 2020

The Pakistan Super League season 5 was abruptly halted earlier this year, owing to the intensified spread of novel coronavirus in the country. However, after a seven months long hiatus, cricket has finally returned to Pakistani stadiums, as the National T20 cup 2020 starts today. (Wednesday, 30^th September)

A total of six teams namely, Sindh, Baluchistan, Central Punjab, Southern Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunwa and Northern will squabble for the flickering golden trophy in National T20 Cup 2020.

Furthermore, the whole tournament is comprised of thirty three matches, and will take place in two halves. The initial half will be played from September 30^th till October 6^th in Multan. The second half is scheduled to go down in Rawalpindi cricket stadium, from October 9^th till October 18^th, inclusive of the grand finale. In the league stage of the competition, two matches will be played per day. As per Pakistan’s standard time [PST] the first match will be played at 3:30 pm while the second game will set off at 8:00 pm.

As the pandemic still prevails, the tournament will be played behind closed doors, with strict bio secure protocols for the players. Nevertheless, each match will be live broadcasted by national streaming giant PTV.

As the green shirts are completely at liberty from other local and international competitions, some of the leading players from national cricket team will also participate in the tournament. With that being said, Babar Azam, Imad Wasim, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Haris Sohail, Shan Masood and Mohammad Rizwan are all set to lead their respective squads in the National T20 cup 2020.

Here to mention, the platform will also offer firsthand performers to toss their luck and impress a few legends with their mastered cricket skills and make their way to national cricket squad.

Team Sindh

The former captain and wicket keeper of team green, Sarfaraz Ahmed leads the squadron National T20 cup 2020.

Other players: Saud Shakeel, Ahsan Ali, Anwar Ali, Asad Shafiq, Azam Khan, Danish Aziz, Hassan Khan, Khurram Manzoor, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Asghar, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Taha, Rumman Raees, Sharjeel Khan and Sohail Khan.

Team Baluchistan

Haris Sohail, who attracted huge fan following with his legendary bowling skills, will serve as the captain.

Other players: Bismillah Khan, Akbar-ur-Rehman, Akif Javed, Ammad Butt, Awais Zia, Imam-ul-Haq, Imran Butt, Imran Farhat, Kashif Bhatti, Khurram Shahzad, Taimur Khan, Umaid Asif, Umar Gul, Usama Mir and Yasir Shah.

Team Central Punjab

The number 1 T20 batsman and pride of Pakistan Babar Azam will lead the troop, hence directing a huge population of supporters towards Team Central Punjab in National T20 cup 2020.

Other players: Saad Nasim, Abdullah Shafiq, Abid Ali, Ahmed Bashir, Bilal Asif, Ehsan Adil, Faheem Ashraf, Irfan Khan Niazi, Kamran Akmal, Naseem Shah, Qasim Akram, Rizwan Hussain, Sohaibullah, Usman Qadir and Zafar Gohar.

Team Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Mohammad Rizwan who recently proved his gifted skills in the sport, in Pakistan vs. England series, will serve as the captain. Moreover, the presence of some critically acclaimed players like Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shohaib Malik, Wahab Riaz, Muhammad Hafeez and Mohammad Haris makes this team the invincible.

Other players: Junaid Khan , Arshad Iqbal, Asif Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imran Khan Snr, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Mohsin, Sahibzada Farhan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Usman Khan Shinwari, Wahab Riaz and Zohaib Khan.

Team Northern

The topnotch batsman of team green, Imad Wasim will lead the squad National T20 cup 2020. Whereas the celebrated young bowler, who garnered accolades at Pakistan vs. England series 2020 series, Shadab Khan also happens to be part of team Northern. Also, the existence of Muhammad Amir and Musa Khan provides this troop an upper hand with bowling.

Other players:  Ali Imran, Asif Ali, Farzan Raja, Haider Ali, Hammad Azam, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Nawaz, Musa Khan, Rohail Nazir, Sohail Akhtar, Sohail Tanvir, Umar Amin and Zeeshan Malik.

Team Southern Punjab

The audacious Shan Masood will serve as the captain in National T20 cup 2020.
