KARACHI: Commercial and private vehicle owners in Sindh can pay their motor vehicle token tax online through their website according to the Excise and Taxation Department.
The new system will allow motor vehicle owners to pay token tax without the need to visit the excise and taxation office according to the Director General (DG) Sindh Shoaib Siddiqui.
Furthermore, Siddiqui said that the system will now help generate an additional 20 percent revenue for the department since owners living outside the province can now pay their taxes online.
Sindh motor vehicle token tax can be paid online through ATMs, internet banking and through Easypaisa mobile application while the facility will be made available on the Jazz Cash platform in the coming days.
This facility is especially useful to females and senior citizens who can now avoid standing in long queues at the Excise and Taxation Department office and pay taxes online from their homes.
Similar systems have already been introduced by Islamabad Excise and Punjab Excise Departments allowing the option to pay vehicle token tax online through their respective mobile apps.
Moreover, you can check motor vehicle verification online using INCPAK’s Vehicle Verification Smartphone App available on the Google Play Store.
