The Government of Sindh has withdrawn the pillion riding ban in Karachi just hours after it was instated in the port city according to a notification issued by the Sindh Home Department.
Sindh Home Department had earlier issued a notification stating that it was placing a 30 day pillion riding ban in Karachi to to maintain the law and order situation in the city.

However, the home department issued another notification stating that a re-assessment of the security situation was carried out and it was decided to revoked the earlier ban.

The earlier decision came shortly after the killing of Jamia Farooqia International University in charge Maulana Dr Adil Khan who was gunned down along with his driver at Shah Faisal area of Karachi last last.
