Honor killing: Mother, daughter killed in Rahim Yar Khan

A tragic incident took place involving a mother and daugther who became victims of honor killing in Rahim Yar Khan district of South Punjab as their beheaded bodies were found in Zahir Pir.

According to ARY News, the incident mother and daughter were killed in the name of ‘honor’ and an investigation has been initiated into the incident while bodies have been transferred to hospital for autopsy.

The police is currently searching for the suspect behind this honor killing in Rahim Yar Khan but he still remains at large however, they’re waiting for the medical report which will disclose important information into the incident and help with the investigation.

Incidents of honor killing, rape and other violence against women and children have surged in Pakistan and there are many cases involving men falling victim to such crimes too.

Another recent incident of honor killing took place in Naway Kalay Village in Buner, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where a man murdered his 18-year-old son and 17-year-old daughter in law just a month after their marriage in the name of honor after they made a TikTok video.

This barbaric decision was apparently unanimous and involved other members of the family who aided with the honor killing of these youngsters.
