Being Pakistan’s first ever musical television series, the screenplay had fetched a whole youth nation towards small screens, owing to its amusing story-line that revolved around an adventurous expedition of four jubilant college students. Meray Dost Meray Yaar is a far-reaching tale of friendship, relationships, college life and passion for music, centering on four best friends namely Zoya, Sherry, Zain, and Mohib.

It beautifully depicts the struggles and scuffles that an ordinary student has to face in the course of accomplishing their ambitions. Together the foursome constructs a music band, dividing their tasks and proving their overlooked talents to their opponents.

The story delivers the motion that ups and downs are part of life; it is the friends that make the rollercoaster worth experiencing. Hence, its friendship illustration is what makes the series unique and endearing.

Cast

Directed by the versatile old stager Mehreen Jabbar of Dobara Phir Se’s fame, Meray Dost Meray Yaar has been penned down by Shah Yasir, whereas Shoaib Hussain and Danish Khuwaja serve as the producers.

The approaching sequel series is comprised of all-star and highly acclaimed cast members that happen to be bosom buddies off-screen also. The female central lead has been brought to life by the breathtakingly beautiful Hania Aamir, who will be adopting the avatar of Zoya, portrayed by Syra Yousuf in the first season.

Additionally, the male lead characters of Zain and Sherry will be adopted by the enigmatic singer Asim Azhar and the extremely talented actor Asad Siddique respectively. Asim Azhar had depicted the leading character of Zain in the first season of Meray Dost Meray Yaar also, whereas Asad Siddique will be replacing Haroon Shahid.
