Paris teacher attack: Attacker had no connection with the teacher or school

PARIS: The 47-year-old Samuel Paty was killed in a tragic incident of “Paris Teacher Attack”. According to the information given by the anti-terrorism state prosecutor, Jean-Francois Ricardo, the attacker had no apparent connection with the teacher or the school.

Samuel Paty was history and geography teacher. He was beheaded by Abdullah Anzorov after giving a class on freedom of expression and as an example he showed the cartoons of Prophet Mohammad that were published by he French magazine Charlie Hebdo in 2015.

Samuel Paty’s class had angered the muslim parents.

Latest Details on the Paris Teacher Attack

According latest details the attacker had asked pupils to point the teacher out.

According to the anti-terrorism officers Abdullah had waited outside the school and had asked the students to identify Samuel Paty on Friday afternoon.

Samuel Paty who was walking home on foot after school was followed. He received multiple knife stab wounds on the head before being beheaded.

The attacker is said to have posted the photos of the victim on his tweeter account along with insults.

He also fired at the police officers as they approached him. A 30cm-long knife was recovered near his body. The suspect was shot nine time in all.

About The Suspect

The suspect Abdullah Anzorov was an 18-year-old Chechen origin born in Moscow. He was not known to the anti-terrorism police.

He had moved to France as a young boy with a refugee status. He lived in the Normandy town of Évreux, about 100km (62 miles) from the murder scene. Abdullah had been to courts before but on minor charges.
