At least five people were killed and 28 injured after a massive blast in Karachi which occurred at Maskan Chowrangi in Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Wednesday.
The police and rescue teams arrived at the scene of the incident and shifted the injured citizens to nearby hospitals and according to reports, three of them are said to be in critical condition.
According to details, the explosion caused the portion of the building to collapse leading to difficulty for authorities to rescue people people stuck on the upper floors.

The area was sealed off and the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was called to the scene to investigate the matter and determine the nature of the explosion which demolished the portion of a building.
The initial investigation by the bomb disposal squad concluded that the blast was the result of a natural gas leak in the building and no evidence was found suggesting that any explosive material was used.
CM Sindh takes notice of Karachi Blast
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took notice of the Karachi blast that occurred at Maskan Chowrangi in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and directed the the commissioner Karachi to submit a detailed report on the matter.
Furthermore, he instructed that all those injured should be provided with immediate medical aid while expressing sorrow for the lives lost in the tragic incident.
it is pertinent to mention that an explosion occurred at Shireen Jinnah Colony in Karachi claiming lives of five people on Tuesday.
