The Lahore motorway gang rape victim identified Abid Ali and Shafqat as prime suspects who sexually assaulted her in front of her children on September 9th.
According to details, the identification took place at the Lahore Camp Jail as the accused were brought in front of the Lahore Motorway gang rape victim.
Abid Ali was sent to jail on a 14-day remand after his capture on October 13th while Shafqat was already in police custody on physical remand. The court had ordered the identification of the accused inside the jail.
However, Abid Ali’s father claimed that police did not made any arrest but the accused surrendered himself after the family’s women were being kept in custody.

A woman was gang raped on Lahore motorway in front of her children on Wednesday after her car broke down stranding her on the road.
According to sources, the woman called motorway police for help but was denied assistance due to jurisdiction issues after which she was spotted by the assailants who attacked her car.
The culprits (Abid Ali and Shafqat) forced the woman along with her children out of the car and took them to a nearby field where they gang raped the woman and then robbed her of all valuables immediately fleeing the scene.
