Three departments of the Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) in Islamabad have been sealed with immediate effect after emergence of COVID-19 (coronavirus) cases in order to prevent further spread of the deadly virus.
According to a notification issued by the District Magistrate Office, the Department of Chemistry, BBA and BCH of Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) in Islamabad have been sealed in ‘larger public interest’ until further orders.
Furthermore, the police has been instructed to cordon off the sealed departments at the university and ensure that the spread of the coronavirus is kept under control.
Moreover, the notification orders the COVID-19 testing of all staff / students from the department and implementation of proper standard operating procedures (SOPs) while all the close contacts of the cases are required to quarantine for 14 days.
