Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth has passed away due to coronavirus at the age of 59 according to a spokesperson for the court.
According to the details, Justice Waqar Seth was battling with coronavirus at the Kulsum International Hospital in Islamabad for the past few days and succumbed to the deadly disease earlier today.
Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth was appointed at the Peshawar High Court (PHC) in 2011 and later took oath as Chief Justice of the court on June 28, 2018 and he known for handing the death penalty to former president Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf in a high treason case.
Prime Minister Imran Khan took to Twitter after hearing the news of his passing and expressed offered his condolences and prayers to the family.
