Mobile services in Pindi & Islamabad to remain suspended till further notice

Internet and mobile services in Rawalpindi and Islamabad will remain suspended till further notice as Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) has reaches Faizabad Interchange and announced a sit-in until French Ambassador leaves the country.

Mobile services were suspended on 15th November from 4am till 9pm according to the notification issued by the Punjab Government. However, the networks are still down with no official confirmation on restoration.

NOTE: Follow the Islamabad and Rawalpindi Traffic Plan issued by Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) to avoid traffic congestion.

Therefore, mobile services in Rawalpindi and Islamabad will remain suspended till further notice as almost 13,000 TLP marchers have gathered at the Faizabad Interchange and demand that the French Ambassador leaves the country immediately.

UPDATE: Pakistan Telecommuncation Authority (PTA) has issued a notification stating that Mobile Services will remain suspended till 6 am, 16 November 2020.

Moreover, the main stream media and internet services have been blocked in different areas of Rawalpindi and there is traffic congestion being reported as containers have been placed along several roads including the entry and exit points to Islamabad.

Currently the traffic from Bahria Town / DHA heading towards Islamabad (Expressway) is completely blocked while traffic from Murree towards Peshawar is also at a complete halt until IJP Road is cleared after TLP ends their Faizabad Dharna (sit-in).
