ISLAMABAD: The Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has announced that the government plans to introduce animation and video games certification program for youth.
According to the federal minister, these programs are being introduced for youngsters who are interested in gaming rather than reading allowing them to step into animation and video games programming as a career.
The aim of these animation and video games certification program is not only to benefit these youngster and provide them with opportunities but this will also allow us the become part of the gaming industry which is worth well over $90 billion.
Fawad Chaudhry thinks that these programs will be a “game changer” for the youth in Pakistan providing them with several opportunities in the future.
Earlier, the federal minister announced that the Ministry of Science and Technology was prepared to launch a Pakistani version of Netflix, the world famous video streaming service.
According to the details, the Pakistani version of Netflix will be the country’s first OTT service that will be launched after approval from the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA).
