QUETTA: More than three months of winter vacations (November 26 till February 28, 2021) have been announced in Quetta according to a letter issued by the District Education Officer Farzana Ahmadzai.
According to the letter issued by the District Education Officer, the current academic session will end November 26 and schools will remain closed for winter vacations in Quetta till February 28, 2021.

Furthermore, the annual examinations have been postponed till March 10, 2021. “Students should be given date sheets and smart syllabi for the annual examinations,” the DEO wrote in the letter.
In related news, schools across the country have been closed due to rising coronavirus cases from November 26 till December 24 after which winter vacations will commence till January 10th, 2021.
Schools will reopen on 11th January, 2021 for the rest of the country (except Quetta) and normal teaching will commence. However, a meeting of all educational ministers has been scheduled in January to review the coronavirus situation before making the final decision regarding the reopening of educational institutions.
