Humayun Saeed & Adnan Siddique to produce Pak-Turkish drama

The legendary actors and producers Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddique are ready to explore Pak-Turk friendship through entertainment industry as they have inked deal with Turkish show-runners, to produce a fusion of Pakistan Turkey drama. Moreover, not any Turkish creators, the duo has collaborated with the mastermind producers of critically acclaimed series Dirilis Ertugrul, in order to bring Pakistani version of historical warriors to life.

Turkish creation Resurrection Ertugrul or Ertugrul Ghazi became an immense knockout throughout the globe, smashing numerous charts and records. In Pakistan, the five part series premiered from the 1^st of Ramadan, 2020, through national broadcaster PTV, on the orders of Prime Minister Imran Khan. And, soon after couple of its episodes, the serial garnered massive accolades from all over the country, setting records and being the most watched series since forever. With its historical background, revolving around Ottoman times and portrayal of audacious Islamic warriors, the series was highly applauded in Islamic world.

Keeping the accomplishments of Dirilis Ertugrul in mind, the leading producers and veteran actors of showbiz, Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddique have teamed up to produce a similar Pakistan based content. Hence, the celebrities on Sunday revealed the news of their partnership with Tekdin Films and TRT production, the sources behind the curtains of Ertugrul Ghazi. Taking it to his Instagram handle, the Yeh Dil Mera actor stated,

“As millennials say; ‘super stoked’ to bring to you a partnership that transcends borders. Pakistan and Turkey have joined hands in collaboration between Dr Kashif Ansari’s Ansari films, TRT films and Mr. Kamal Tekdin’s Tekdin Films to usher in a fresh era in Pakistani industry. The new venture has also got on board yours truly and Humayun Saeed as an extended arm, which means both of us will be taking care of all the pre, on-going and post production activities of this collaboration. For the uninitiated, Tekdin Films is the name behind the blockbuster Diriliş: Ertuğrul.”

In Addition, the star continued, unveiling his perspectives over talent across borders. Adnan stated,

“I have always believed that art should be free from the shackles of international and geopolitical boundaries. This is my small step towards that.”

Hence, the co-actors of Meray Pass Tum Ho, Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddique will be serving as Pakistani authorities of the forthcoming project, as mentioned by Humayun.

“We are at the helm of affairs of Tekdin-TRT partnership which means all the work that is to be done in Pakistan-pre and post-production including casting, will be done through us.” However, the praiseworthy cast and crew is to be carefully chosen and therefore yet to be revealed.

It is pertinent to mention that this is not the first time the actors have considered a rendition of dramas like Ertugrul Ghazi. Earlier, Humayun Saeed had commented how he was looking ahead to create such content in Pakistan, however financial limitations were the obstacle.

“I could produce it but the problem is that shows [like Erturgrul] require massive financial investments. They made Ertugrul with the Turkish government’s financial aid. If our government supports me or any other capable producer, we could do it as well.” – came from Jawani Phir Nahi Ani actor.

Nevertheless, now that Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddique have joined hands with Turkish show-runners and content creators, followed with Turkish actors on board, something huge is definitely on the way.
