The ‘Studio 2054’ livestream concert by Dua Lipa was watched by more than five million viewers, breaking global records while setting a new standard for virtual music events during the pandemic.
The livestream concert took place on Friday (27 November 2020) with the British singer performing a variety of her songs, including New Rules, Don’t Start Now and many more.
Dua Lipa was also joined by some other big names in the music industry, including Kylie Minogue, FKA Twigs and the legendary Elton John.
“I am BEYOND excited to let you know that Studio 2054 had over 5 MILLION viewers globally on Friday night !!! – thank you so much to everyone for tuning in!!” the British singer took to Instagram thanking her fans.
Furthermore, the star announced that the concert would be available for streaming until Sunday (6 December 2020). “I’m also so happy to announce that we’ve kept the show available to watch until Sunday via the link in my bio ‼️‼️‼️” said the singer on her Instagram.
Dua Lipa’s management company Tap Music stated that the five million figure is based on more than one person watching each stream and the real number could be “closer to eight or nine million”.
