ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reported 3,308 coronavirus cases across the country during the last 24 hours as the national tally of infections reaches 416,499 according to the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC).
Similarly, there were 58 more fatalities reported from from the deadly infection, bringing the countrywide death toll from the diseases to 8,361.
The number of active cases across the country has risen to 53,126 while 2,436 people are being reported in critical condition. However, the total number of recoveries have reached 355,000.

The government has placed several restrictions in an attempt to control the coronavirus cases which are rising rapidly across the country.
Provinces are introducing new restrictions in an attempt to curb the spread of coronavirus, including ban on indoor weddings, dining and even large public gatherings while schools have also been closed till 10th January 2021.
However, the premier said that mosques in the country cannot be closed under any circumstances despite the rising number of coronavirus cases.
