ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved an increase of Rs. 1.11 per unit in the power tariff on account of the variants in the fuel charges for the month of September 2020.
This increase will be collected during the December bill payments according to the National Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).
It is pertinent to mention that these changes (increase) are not applicable on electricity prices charged by K-Electric in Karachi.
Lifeline consumers will also remain unaffected by the increase in power tariff by NEPRA.
The authority said during the period, the production cost of electricity was Rs3.95 per unit while the reference cost of electricity in September was Rs2.84 per unit.
