LAHORE: Punjab Government on Wednesday announced winter vacations for all public and private schools in the province till 10th January 2021 according to a notification issued by the School Education Department.
According to the notification, all public and private schools, including academies and madaris will remain closed in Punjab during the winter vacations from 25th December till 10th January 2021.
Last month, the federal government closed all educational institutions across the country due to the rising number of coronavirus, however, the notification regarding winter holidays was not issued at the time of the decision.

Earlier, the Punjab education minister vowed to eliminate summer vacations in 2021 if needed because students have suffered a major hit to their studies because of the closure of schools during the pandemic.
