Seven-year-old girl raped and murdered in Lahore

LAHORE: A seven-year-old girl was found raped and murdered in Mohlanwala area of Lahore on Monday according to the police.

According to the details, the seven-year-old girl was kidnapped, raped and then murdered by her cousin who then threw her body in a canal near the Mohlanwal area in Lahore.

The family of the victim stated that the girl had gone missing over the weekend after which a missing person complaint was lodged at the local police station.

According to police, the cousin of the minor child has confessed to the rape and murder of the seven-year-old girl and his DNA samples will be taken as well.

The body of the minor child has been moved to the hospital for post-mortem examination and the police have added rape charges to the First Information Report (FIR) which was initially registered as a kidnapping case.

In a separate incident, two women were gang-raped and tortured in Darband Tehsil of Mansehra in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa last week.

According to the details, the culprits were taken into custody after the gang-rape video of the horrific incident went viral on social media.

The police stated that the men brutally gang-raped and tortured the young women while filming the entire ordeal. DPO Sadiq Baloch requested the women to come forward and become plaintiff for registration of the case against the culprits and record their statement in front of the court.
