Protestors have blocked Srinagar Highway (formally Kashmir Highway) in Islamabad after 21-year-old Usama Satti was shot dead by Islamabad police early Saturday.
Nadeem Satti, the victim’s father, has blocked Srinagar Highway along with fellow traders from G-10 and surrounding markets while demanding to be notified of a timeframe required to complete the investigation.
In response, the office of the Chief Commissioner Islamabad has issued an order to conduct a Judicial Inquiry into the murder of Usama Satti and produce a comprehensive report with 5 days.

It is pertinent to mention that five policemen have been arrested and a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
About the incident
Usama Satti was travelling home late last night when he was asked to stop by Anti-Terrorism Force personnel and his vehicle was shot multiple times when he failed to comply.
According to the details, the police had received a tip of a robbery in Shams Colony and they tried to stop the victim’s vehicle on suspicion because of tinted windows.
The Anti-Terrorism Force spokesman said that the police personnel fired shots at the car’s tires in an attempt to stop the vehicle but unfortunately ended up hitting Usama Satti.

Nadeem Satti, the victim’s father, also told media that his son had gotten into an altercation with police personnel earlier and was threatened by the five policemen who murdered his son.

Srinagar Highway (formally Kashmir Highway) is currently blocked because of the protest being held for the murder of Usama Satti resulting in a complete halt to traffic with hundreds stuck in their vehicles.
