ISLAMABAD: The federal government will launch a new survey for identification of the deserving and poor beneficiaries under the Ehsaas Programme according to Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Poverty Alleviation and Social Security Dr Sania Nishtar.
According to the the special assistant, the data of deserving households will be collected from across the country through a digital system to enable precise identification of beneficiaries under the Ehsaas Programme.
Dr Sania Nishtar added that Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to complete the survey for the Ehsaas Program as soon as possible so that no deserving citizen is left out of the social welfare net. Furthermore, the survey will be carried out with the utmost transparency according to the SAPM.
To further assist the beneficiaries under the Ehsaas Program, the federal government will set up one-window operation centres in major cities which will also help to reduce chances of duplication under the welfare programme.

Last month, the premier announced an Ehsaas Kafaalat Policy for special persons with a monthly stipend of Rs. 2,000 for 2 million families.
