Hashtag #JusticeForSultanNazir started trending on Twitter demanding justice for Sultan Nazir, a 22-year-old student shot dead by Karachi police in an alleged police encounter on Sunday.
The incident comes just two days after 21-year-old Usama Satti was shot dead in Islamabad by Anti-Terrorist Squad personnel in another fake encounter.

According to the details, Sultan Nazir was returning from SITE area in Karachi using a motorcycle ride-hailing service when he was shot dead by Karachi police.
Sultan Nazeer originally hailed from Hunza and moved to Karachi for his studies. He was also reportedly working a garment shop in Saddar.
The family of the victim along with other students from Gilgit-Baltistan staged a huge protest after which a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered on the request of the victim’s cousin, Saleemullah, who provided details of the incident.
Here is a copy of the First Information Report (FIR):
Sultan Nazir had gone to SITE area to mourn the death of a relative and used a ride-hailing service to return home, his cousin stated in the FIR.
When the victim did not return home, his cousin traced the number of the rider from the ride-hailing service, who told him that Sultan Nazeer was shot dead by some policemen.
According to the rider, they had reached Habib Bank Chowk in SITE area when policemen opened fire on them, hitting the 22-year-old.
The two policeman involved in the incident were constable Jahangir and Shabbir Ahmed who claimed that the 22-year-old was killed during a police encounter with muggers.
However, the family claims that the victim did not even know how to ride a motorcycle and demanded justice for Sultan Nazir.
SSP Kemari also disputed the family’s version of the story saying that the police had recovered a motorcycle from the youngster possession while some other items snatched from a person were also recovered.
However, a probe body had been formed under SP Baldia to investigate the incident and the killing of Sultan Nazeer in detail. “Strict action will be taken against the officials if found guilty,” he added.
The incident went viral on social media last night and Twitter started trending with hashtag #JusticeForSultanNazir as everyone demanded justice for Sultan Nazir.
