The judicial inquiry into the murder of 22-year-old Usama Satti by Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) personnel has revealed that the young man was purposely murdered and accused tried to cover up the incident.
According to the details, the 22-year-old was not involved in any criminal activity the night of the incident and there were no pending cases against him as claimed earlier by the ATS officials involved in the murder.
The judicial inquiry report reveals that Usama Satti was shot 22 times, not by one but multiple officers which goes against the statements provided by the accused officers.

The report reveals that Usama Satti had “multiple gunshots fired at him from all directions, which shows that the officers involved had every intention to kill him.”
Per the judicial inquiry, the news of the 22-year-old’s death was kept from his family for four hours and the officers involved in the murder tried to cover up the incident.
“The officers tried to turn the incident into a dacoity case and kept senior officials in the dark,” the report revealed, adding that “Rescue 1122 personnel trying to reach the site of the incident were repeatedly provided with the wrong location details.”
Furthermore, the officers who arrived at crime scene after the murder of Usama Satti were also found trying to destroy evidence and no picture or video was taken by them either.
According to the judicial inquiry report, there were 22 shots fired at the young man’s car but only 18 empty cases were sent to forensics, that too after 72 hours.
The inquiry clearly states that Usama Satti was not involved in any robbery or criminal activity and the entire incident is the criminal negligence of the five Islamabad ATS officers involved in the murder of the young man.
