The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing arrested a man in Rawalpindi for blacking a girl into having an illicit relationship with him by threatening to upload inappropriate videos and pictures of her on social media.
According to the details, the victim belonged to a small village from District Jhelum and told the FIA officials that the accused, identified as Shiraz Ayaz Khan, maliciously made inappropriate videos and pictures of her.
The victim added that the accused forced her to live with him and sent obscene videos of her on WhatsApp while threatening to make them viral on social media if she did not comply.
The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) cybercrime team was able to arrest the accused near Mandi Mor in Islamabad when he came to pick up the victim.
An inquiry into the matter has been initiated and the officials have also seized the mobile phone of the accused while also booking him under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016.
Officials stated that the accused, Shiraz Ayaz Khan, extorted Rs. 50,000 from the victim and demanded more money while blackmailing the girl with the inappropriate videos.
In a separate incident earlier this week, a local court in Rawalpindi convicted a couple of kidnapping, raping and filming explicit videos of girls, including minors and later blackmailing them.
According to the details, the couple had confessed to raping and filming as many as 45 minor girls including minors.
Additional Sessions Judge Jahangir Ali Gondal sentenced Qassim Jahangir to death together with three years imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 2.5 million while his wife, Kiran Mahmood, was given life in prison with a fine of Rs. 1,000,000.
