KARACHI: The annual matric and intermediate exams will start from July, according to the Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani on Saturday.
The Sindh Education Minister announced that the final matric exams will start from 1 July 2021 while intermediate exams will begin starting 28 July 2021.
Furthermore, it was also stated that exams for students of pre-primary to class eight will be conducted during June.
Moreover, the education department also decided to reduce the time for exams from three hours to two hours with practicals being held before the examinations in June.
The steering committee chaired by the Sindh education minister Saeed Ghani also decided to reopen schools across the province from February 1.
He added that strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) will be implemented to limit the spread of the coronavirus as students return to take physical classes.
Saeed Ghani also mentioned that the new academic year for the public sector will start from August 2, 2021 as declared earlier by the Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood.
It was also decided that summer vacations only one month summer vacation will be given in July.
