Following the request of PCB, Government has allowed a limited number of live spectators for the PSL 6 2021, commencing from 20th February. The tournament will be held in bio secure bubble, under strict safety measures. However, the crowd rows will not be vacant and dusty anymore.
Previous season of Pakistan Super League had to face an abrupt halt midway, owing to the escalating corona virus cases in the country. Matches had been postponed and the international players had returned to their respective homelands. And, after a suspension for almost 6 months, the remaining matches of PSL 5 were resumed in Karachi, when the Karachi Kings franchise picked up their first ever trophy.
However, the star studded PSL was lacking on its charm throughout the playoffs of 5th edition, as the energetic, electrifying crowd had been restricted from the stadiums, to ensure the Covid19-measures. But the upcoming season does not carry the same misery.

Spectators Allowed For PSL 6 2021
At present, only few days are left for the biggest and highly anticipated marquee event, the Pakistan Super League, PSL 6 2021 edition. And, as the T20 combat approaches the crystal clear pitches of Karachi, the Government has given a green signals to the PCB, permitting a narrow number of live audience in the stadium that brings the loud cheers and uproars back to the home grounds.
The latest pronouncement by the PCB has added to the wide excitement of the citizens for the forthcoming PSL season, as they wait to squeal and screech in support of their favorite franchise.
Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had requested the federal and provincial governments to allow approximately 14,000 spectators inside the stadiums for each match of PSL 6 2021. It had reached out the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) too, regarding the live audience amidst the ongoing pandemic.
Moreover, the organization had also assured to strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), during the course of PSL season 6. And, according to the latest reports, the government has finally given thumbs up to PCBs request about hosting spectators. Hence, a limited number of spectators will be allowed in for the PSL 6.
Furthermore, the matches will be held in two phases and will be limited to two venues this year, eliminating the Multan and Rawalpindi home grounds. First phase will commence in National Stadium Karachi, and the second phase, including the playoffs and final at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore. The tournament will originate from 20th of February with a head to head battle between the reigning champions Karachi Kings and the former title holders Quetta Gladiators.
