Peshawar Zalmi owner, Javed Afridi, has hinted at a possible collaboration with critically acclaimed American pop singer Rihanna for latest edition of the Peshawar Zalmi anthem for PSL 6 2021, uplifting his franchise on an international level.
Peshawar Zalmi is a highly celebrated franchise of Pakistan Super League, which represents the city of Peshawar. Lead by Wahab Riaz as captain and Darren Sammy as head coach, the platform is owned by renowned businessman Javed Afridi and has harvested a huge fan following in past five years, owing to its exceptional performance each season.

The Wahab Riaz led team had a hard luck previous season and did not live up to the audience’s expectations. However, the yellow force is ready to bounce back with high potency this year.
Hence, besides booking in a number of celestial International cricket stars, like Ravi Bopara, Sherfane Rutherford and David Miller to name a few, the franchise is also attracting a huge population of supporters, by linking its name to some international brand ambassador and star faces.
At first, Peshawar Zalmi joint hands with Turkish beauty Esra Bilgic, reportedly inviting her as the latest brand ambassador for PSL season 6.

And, when the news of Esra joining the yellow shirts dried out, the owner Javed Afridi has once again stirred up some excitement and eagerness in PSL universe.
Taking it to his twitter handle, Javed Afridi captioned, “RIHANNA FOR ZALMI ANTHEM?”
And, following his tweet, it was only a matter of time; Zalmi enthusiasts escalated their hopes, making assumptions about the Fenty beauty founder, Rihanna joining the Zalmi franchise for the team’s theme song for PSL season 6, commencing from 20th February. However, no official statement has yet been released by Javed Afridi.
It is pertinent to mention that Rihanna had been in neighborhood country, India’s headlines for a few days now, subsequent to her tweet about the rights of Indian farmers. And, following Javed Afridi’s tweet, Rihanna is a current topic of interest for Pakistanis also.
