City Traffic Police Rawalpindi has issued a traffic plan update in relation to the Pakistan Day rehearsal set to take place tomorrow (17 March 2021) and special duties of Traffic DSPs, Traffic Inspectors, Traffic Wardens and Traffic Assistants have been imposed on this occasion, according to CTO Rawalpindi.
According to the Rawalpindi traffic plan update provided by the authorities for the Pakistan Day rehearsal set to take place from tomorrow morning (17 March 2021), the traffic coming from Faizabad to Rawalpindi and Islamabad will be completely closed.
Meanwhile, the traffic coming from Murree Road to Islamabad will be able to reach Islamabad from 9th Avenue via Stadium Road via Diversion Point from Double Road Chowk.
Furthermore, commuters should take note of the following routes for 17 March 2021, according to the Rawalpindi traffic plan update for Pakistan Day rehearsal:
- Traffic coming to Islamabad from Kral Chowk will enter Rawalpindi from Chowki No. 8 via Khanna Bridge Service Road.
- Traffic from Murree Road to Islamabad will be diverted from 9th Avenue to Stadium Road.
- Traffic coming to the stadium from 9th Avenue will be diverted to IJP Road where they can enter Rawalpindi from Naka Kataria and Carriage Factory.
- There will be a complete ban on entry of heavy traffic in Rawalpindi city.
- Public service buses and metro bus service in Rawalpindi city will remain completely closed.
