Sonya has recently presented the sneak peek of her epitome from the approaching venture, and it would be wise to say, the actress looks ravishing dressed up as a simple and elegant village girl.
Bold, beautiful and exceptionally talented television starlet Sonya Hussyn is a woman of class and courage. The actress is known to adopt tough and inspiring characters repeatedly, which portrays the strong and positive side of the woman, rather than the emotionally unstable, crybabies or typical housewives.
Sonya had marked her show business debut with a supporting role in 2011’s Dareecha. And, after few more side characters, the actress finally gained the recognition and praises she long deserved, and now ranks among the topnotch acting queens. Sonya Hussyn won critical acclaims for masterly representing the strong and resilient schizophrenic adult in drama serial Saraab. However, this time, the actress has embraced an entirely new avatar, of an environmentalist village girl, who is independent, daring and a humanitarian.
Likewise Sonya’s majority projects, drama serial Mor Maharaan also raises awareness of disregarded societal issues. The drama revolves around global warming and water scarcity, and features Sonya as an eco-nut belonging to Rohi, Cholistan.
Talking about her character in Mor Maharaan, the Marasim actress mentioned it to be a “girl who loves nature and is down-to-earth, sober, and practical when it comes to realizing her idealistic dreams”.
“There are two moods of this character. At work, she is sober and dignified, while at home, she is reflective. Outdoors she is energetic, elated, and full of love for her soil, trees, birds, streams, and lakes,” – Sonya added.
Furthermore, revealing a bit about the storyline, she stated, “The story is about global warming and climate change, focusing on issues such as weather conditions, plantation, and the current water crisis in Pakistan.”
Directed by Owais Khan and produced by Ali Moeen, Mor Maharaan has been penned down by Seema Taher Khan. It also stars Shehryar Zaidi, Firdous Jamal and Samia Mumtaz in pivotal roles.
