Pakistan’s renowned cricket commentator Zainab Abbas has achieved another milestone, as she becomes the first female Pakistani presenter to join the British sports channel Sky Sports team. Owing to this, Zainab will mark her Sky Sports debut this summer, with the channel’s forthcoming league, “The Hundred.”
The beautiful and confident Zainab Abbas is a Pakistani cricket commentator, television host and former makeup artist, renowned globally for her passion and incredible familiarity with cricket. Being the daughter of Pakistan’s former bowler Nasir Abbas, the 33 years old had started off as a makeup artist, until 2015, when she auditioned for a World Cup cricket program, and launched her career in presenting and commentating on cricket. And, ever since, Zainab had been remarkable with the commentary from Pakistan’s box.
Moreover, Zainab Abbas has also written sports pieces for the Pakistani independent news outlets Dawn, and Dunya News. Other than that, Zainab has also hosted sports programs ‘Cricket Deewangi’ and ‘Sawal Cricket Ka’ previously.
Besides her startling self-reliance and dedication towards cricket, it was Zainab’s constant appearance on Pakistan Super League, PSL that added to her mounting recognition. She had represented the national cricket league from the years 2017-2019.
In 2019, Abbas became the first Pakistani female presenter in the International Cricket Council’s Cricket World Cup.

Zainab Abbas to debut with Sky Sports
After achieving wide national and international acknowledgment as a Pakistan’s presenter, Zainab Abbas is all set to join the reputed British sports channel namely Sky Sports, making the whole nation proud, with being the first female Pakistani commentator to bag this milestone.
The news was announced by Zainab on her social handles. Taking it to twitter, Zainab stated, “Thrilled to share that I will be making my debut for @SkyCricket @SkySports this summer while working on the England vs Pakistan series followed by presenting at the all new exciting tournament @thehundred – looking forward to working with a great team.”
Furthermore, in a recent interview, Zainab revealed she was approached by the British channel for their league ‘The Hundred’ that consists of faces from all over the globe. And, with this occasion, the commentator looks forward to representing her beloved native land on International platforms.
“I was honoured to receive this opportunity. Apart from achieving a personal milestone, I see this as a chance to make my country proud on international grounds,” – stated Zainab Abbas.
Besides Zainab, cricketers Andrew Flintoff, Kevin Pietersen, Tammy Beaumont are also part of the ‘The Hundred’.
