KARACHI: On the direction of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, a Central Control Cell was set up under the chairmanship of Secretary General Administration Muhammad Hanif Channa regarding Cyclone “TAUKTAE” which is heading towards Pakistan and India border, which is expected to cause widespread heavy rain and storm in Karachi and other parts of Sindh.
The control cell will be in touch with all the commissioners and deputy commissioners including police, rangers, health department, PDMA regarding the expected cyclone and rain emergency 24 hours a day and necessary instructions will also be issued to the public from the central control cell.

Emergency Control Room established in each District
The case of Hurricane “TAUKTAE”. The Sindh government directed all the Deputy Commissioners to set up a control room/emergency cell in view of the cyclone.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather alert for Karachi as heavy rain along with gusty winds is expected in the port city and other parts of Sindh under the tropical cyclone Tauktae which is intensifying in the Arabian Sea.
