Karachi weather took a sudden turn as parts of the city were hit by rain and dust storm, however, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) says that rainfall will stop and the storm clouds will dissipate after a few hours.
According to the PMD Director Sardar Sarfaraz, there are thunder cells which developed over Karachi as a result of the sweltering heat being experienced because of the effects from cyclone Tauktae.
The winds are blowing from the northeast with clouds forming in the northern part of the city, which was already warned by PMD in the threat advisory issued regarding the tropical cyclone Tauktae a couple of days ago.
Furthermore, the PMD spokesperson has stated that the extremely hot weather in Karachi will reduce from tomorrow and dark clouds will no longer be visible after a couple of hours.
There is no chance of heavy rain, the spokesman confirmed.
People have started sharing videos and pictures after the sudden change in Karachi weather.
