First teaser for Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir starrer Dhoop ki Deewar

Massively admired real life duo of Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir is once again set to captivate the audience in their mesmerizing romance, this time, with the forthcoming ‘dhoop ki deewar’ for which the first teaser is finally dropped. Featuring Sajal and Ahad as across border love birds, the series will be released on digital web Zee5.

The young, hypnotic and exceptionally talented Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir lies among the topnotch fan favorite celebrity couples, who transformed their on-screen romance to off-screens, and have the audience’s love and adoration from that time.

The duo was first spotted in Yaqeen ka safar, followed with horror thriller ‘Yeh Dil Mera,’ both of which earned critical praises and viewership owing to the spellbinding Sajal and Ahad screen time. But, ever since their marriage, Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir has been absent from the television screens.

Even though, the couple radiates major couple goals in real life, their devotees had been longing a screen reunion. Hence, the news of Sajal and Ahad’s OTT project together turned out to be the talk of the town, with the audience counting days to its premiere.

However, the wait is finally over, as the highly anticipated ‘Dhoop ki Deewar’ is coming in near future. And, to tease the fans a little more, Zee5 has dropped a flower fresh teaser trailer.

About Dhoop ki Deewar

Upcoming venture Dhoop ki Deewar has been penned down by Umera Ahmed, and narrates the across borders love story of Sara and Vishal, portrayed by Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir. However, unlike other archetypal fairytales, Dhoop ki Deewar embraces huge twists and turns, and heartbreaks, blended with hatred and love between two distinct nations that are India and Pakistan. Legendary director Haseeb Hassan has directed the project, whose credits include masterpieces like Diyaar-e-dil, Mann Mayal, Alif and Parwaz Hai Junoon.

The screenplay will follow martyrdom of Sarah’s father, whose demise leads to the union of two borders across families. The narrative is portrayed from a neutral angle, and adapts to both Indian and Pakistani nations equally. Vishal is an Indian soldier, whereas Sarah is a Pakistani teen. Hence, Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir will be spotted in a long distance relationship.

Moreover, the first teaser does not give out much of the plot details; rather it is a short clip, in which Sajal Aly asks the audience to guess her nationality based on her background.

Talking about his work of art, director Haseeb Hasan stated, “The plot revolves around two families that are united by their father’s death – one is an Indian soldier and the other, a Pakistani. How the martyrdom affects the families and how they realize that peace is much better than war is what the web series will teach us.”

Here to mention ‘Dhoop ki Deewar’ is a web series, and will be released on Zee5, which has previously given us stunning successes like Churails and Ek Jhooti Love Story.  

Talking about opting for a digital platform instead of local streamers, director Hassan commented,

“I don’t know how ready we are to talk about peace but since both India and Pakistan are atomic powers, one thing that I do know is that we are not ready for war. Dhoop Ki Deewar couldn’t have been a TV serial as it talks about both sides from a neutral point of view. Featuring Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly in lead roles, it will be path-breaking in making the audience switch to web, slowly and gradually. If you remember, we used to pay for incoming calls back in the day but now we can talk to anyone for any duration for free. This is exactly how international platforms will grow in Pakistan and the sooner we realize that, the better.”

Besides Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir, Dhoop ki Deewar features Manzar Sahebi, Samina Ahmed, Sawera Nadeem, Zoya Nasir, Raza Talish, Zeb Rehman in pivotal roles.
