Armeena Khan claps back at trolls over outfit choices at HSA 2021

Pakistani film actress Armeena Khan has had enough of the online trolls, moral policing the starlets over their attire choices at Hum Style Awards, held this weekend. Hence, coming out in support of her showbiz buddies, the ‘Janaan’ actress has a sharp riposte for all the plaster saints, throwing mean remarks and denunciating the ladies.

The high status Hum Style Awards 2021 came to pass this Sunday, at a local hotel in Lahore, as a star-studded evening. However, unlike every year, the award show had embraced western culture on high note, with every other television, film or fashion lady appearing in indecent, figure-hugging outfits.

Hence, the Hum Style Awards 2021 transformed into the top trend, and the female celebrities were immensely poured scorn on, over promoting obscenity and Western trends. Among the acting moguls criticized for their bold and daring statements at the event were Ayesha Omar, Alizeh Shah, Mashal Khan, Maha Tahirani, Aima Baig, Nausheen Shah, Sonya Hussain and others.

On the whole, the style event was a big failure, and left the whole population disappointed. And, consequently, public is also demanding a ban to Hum Style Awards. #BanHumStyleAwards is among the top twitter trends in Pakistan.

Armeena Khan defends HSA and other celebrities

The bold and mesmeric Pakistani-Canadian film actress Armeena Khan has herself been the target of public backlash and severe criticism in the past, owing to her apparels pick. Hence, even though the starlet was not present at the night of accolades, she has come out to defend the fellow actresses at the receiving end of intense disapproval and cruel comments.

Taking it to her twitter handle, the Yalghaar actress stated,

“I think all the actors and attendees at #HumStyleAwards looked amazing. Congratulations to all the winners. We must stop tearing each other down, it isn’t a good look guys. Culture and religion is a different discussion for another day.”

However, it was a matter of time that Armeena Khan was bashed with personal attacks and moral policing. Yet, the actress remained firm to her statement. Calling out the trolls that claimed moral high grounds, she stated,

“Raaton op o*n dekhnay walay Aur din mein tableegh kernay walay ab humein sikhain gay. (Those that watch porn at night and then preach in the day, will school us now.) Sados. Jaa ker kaam karo apna.”

Not stopping here, she personally replied to each and every comment that attacked the morals of the female celebrities. Replying to one of the comments on character assassination, Armeena Khan replied,

“Apnay unki virginity ka achaar dalna hai? Ajeeb.”

Furthermore, although the actress had an answer to each negative remark, she did not stoop below her level even when people got abusive. In reply to one of the plaster saints, she commented,

“Listen punk, I can swear much better than you but I won’t because this is a public platform. You think you’re cool? Pehlay regular size ki pants mein puray ajao, 15 inch ki waist walay choozay, phir agay baat karein gay. BB gun pakar kar we are going to play misogyny.”

At last, Armeena Khan concluded the social combat, with a tweet,

“The more they swear at me, the more I LIVE my best life.”
