Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has stated that SIM cards of citizens who do not get vaccinated within a week should be blocked and has directed relevant authorities to approach the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to warn citizens of getting vaccinated within a week otherwise their SIM cards will be blocked.
Furthermore, the Sindh Government is considering stricter action, which includes withholding of salaries of government employees unless they get vaccinated.
Meanwhile, the telecommunication companies have already opposed the decision of blocking SIM cards of unvaccinated citizens when a similar move was proposed by the Punjab Government.
