Karachi man arrested for trying to rape minor girl in Korangi

A man was arrested in Karachi while trying to rape an eight-year-old girl, Samina, in Korangi area of Karachi on Monday.

According to Korangi SSP Shah Jahan, a man tried to rape the minor girl near a graveyard in Karachi when he was caught by people present in the area.

The eight-year-old girl was on her way home when the accused forced her to go with him to the PAF graveyard and tried to rape her in an empty room near the cemetery.

However, the people in the area caught the accused and informed the police about the incident.

The police reached the place and arrested the suspect while shifting him to the police station for further questioning.

SSP investigation confirmed that a case has been registered against the suspect and investigation in underway.

It bears mentioning that incidents of sexual abuse against women and children have been on the rise across the country. In a recent incident, a minor girl was raped and killed in Korangi area of Karachi. The incident sparked outrage across the country with many people demanding justice for the minor girl.
