ISLAMABAD: The Diesel and Petrol Price in Pakistan will remain unchanged from 16 August 2021 till 31 August 2021 on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan after reviewing the recommendations of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA. However, the Prime Minister approved the hike in Price of Kerosene Oil and Light-Speed Diesel.
According to the announcement by the Finance Division after consulting the Prime Minister, the Petrol Price in Pakistan remain unchanged at Rs. 119.80 per litre like the first half of August. Similarly, the High-Speed Diesel (HSD) Price in Pakistan will also remain unchanged at Rs. 116.53 per litre.
Meanwhile, Price of Kerosene Oil and Light-Speed Diesel (LDO) has been increased by Rs. 0.81 per litre and Rs. 1.10 per litre, respectively bringing bringing the new rate at Rs. 87.49 per litre while the price of light-speed diesel (LDO) has not been increased and will remain at Rs. 84.67 per litre.

It is pertinent to mention that Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had recommended an increase of Rs. 0.50 per litre in the petrol price along with a hike of Rs. 2.50 per litre for high-speed diesel. Furthermore, the regulator also recommended an increase of Rs. 1 in the price of both Kerosene Oil and Light-Speed Diesel.
The new Petrol Prices in Pakistan will go into effect from 16 August 2021 and remain in place for the second half of the month till 31 August 2021.
