Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp have been restored after the services remained down for some time across the globe with users unable to connect to these services.
The Facebook owned services which include its encrypted messenger platform WhatsApp along with Instagram and Facebook Messenger were down worldwide for several minutes before getting restored with users unable to access these services.
“We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.” stated the social media giant on Twitter.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp also issued a statement regarding the matter. “We’re aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment. We’re working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience!” said the Facebook owned messenger on Twitter.

Down Detector, a service that tracks online websites, also reported the outage after complaints from a number of users regarding issues accessing Facebook services.
