The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has decided to move the winter vacations in Pakistan to January 2022 from December 2021. The decision to move the winter holidays in the country to the month of January 2022 was taken with a consensus with all the provinces and reviewing all recommendations.
It was decided during the meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) that winter vacations in Pakistan will be shifted to the end of January 2022. The NCOC added that vaccination process will continue in the educational institutions.
Furthermore, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) said that extended winter holidays will also be given in cold areas which are receiving high level of snowfall. The educational institutes in these areas will remain closed as per the directives of the centre.
It is pertinent to mention that the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference was held on Tuesday and it was mutually decided that winter vacations in Pakistan should be given from 25 December 2021 to 4 January 2022, however, the NCOC decided against those dates and shifted winter holidays to January 2022.

The final notification regarding winter vacations will be issued by the respective provinces.

Winter Vacations in Sindh
It bears mentioning that Sindh has already announced winter holidays from 20 December 2021 to 3 January 2022 with normal academic activities to resume from 3 January 2022.

Winter Vacations in Punjab
It is pertinent to mention that a fake notification has been circulating on social media regarding winter vacations Punjab from 21 December 2021 to 1 January 2022, however, the provincial government is yet to issue a final notification in this regard.
