Govt Launches Naya Pakistan Sehat Card Mobile Application

The Punjab Government has launched the ‘Naya Pakistan Sehat Card Mobile Application’ to provide relevant information about health facilities being provided to the general public under the ‘Naya Pakistan Health Card’. The Naya Pakistan Sehat Card provides citizens with Rs. 1 million worth of free treatment at several public and private hospitals.

According to Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, the ‘Naya Pakistan Sehat Card Mobile Application’ will provide all basic and necessary information to patients along a website. These sources carry complete information about the Naya Pakistan Health Card as well the process to acquire it.

The minister stated that patients could avail health facilities at several public and private hospitals under the Naya Pakistan Sehat Card. In Lahore, there are around 133 hospitals registered to provide health facilities under the initiative. Dr Yasmin Rashid added that around 101 private hospitals had been empaneled in the list.

It is pertinent to mention that a citizen’s record at the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) was mandatory to avail healthcare facilities. The minister added that the Naya Pakistan Sehat Card will be provided to the head of the family and he will be bound to register the entire family in order to acquire health facility.

The minister urged the family heads to get themselves registered with NADRA in order to avail the health facility. Furthermore, there were help desks established at the offices of assistant commissioners (ACs) in every tehsil. Moreover, the citizens can use the Naya Pakistan Sehat Card Mobile Application as well as the website for all information about the programme.
