Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has stated that the Sindh Government intends to launch its own team for the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
“We will find a sponsor and bring a team for the PSL soon,” said CM Murad Ali Shah to Shahnawaz Dahani during a meeting at the Chief Minister House.
During the meeting, the CM Sindh said that the provincial government was making efforts to launch a Sukkur-based PSL team and several meetings have been held in this regard with potential sponspors.
The Chief Minister also lauded the national cricketer and presented him with a shield, Sindhi cap, and ajrak, for his performance in the previous PSL tournament.
The CM added that the provincial government will extend him all the support to help him achieve his full potential.
However, the new PSL team that the Sindh Government appears to be working on won’t be a part of the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 7 2021), which is scheduled to start from 27 January 2022.
