Ehsaas Emergency Cash Package Announced by Dr Sania Nishtar

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Security Dr Sania Nishtar has announced the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Package for 15,699 affected families of Tirah Valley in Tribal District of Khyber.

According to the details, the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Package will provide Rs. 20,000 as an immediate relief to these families. The announcement of the initiative was made by Dr Sania Nishtar during her visit to the merged district of Khyber.

The senator reviewed the arrangements being made to open Ehsaas Registration Desks in Tirah, while Ehsaas shock-responsive registry is also being operationalized the valley for self-registration of families in the need of Ehsaas Cash Assistance.

Dr Sania Nishtar welcomed by the thousands of internally displaced families who returned home to Tirah after twelve long years. The senator was joined by senior officials of the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps KP as she interacted with the men of women of these affected families to assess their needs.

“I salute the bravery and sacrifices of internally displaced families of Tirah who had to stay away from their homes for the last 12 years owing to militancy and following the military operation.” said Dr Sania Nishtar. “It is very heartening to see that life in Tirah Valley is now returning to normalcy.”

She added that the Federal Government is committed to the support of all these affected people returning to different parts of Tirah and an Ehsaas Food Truck has also been mobilized in the valley to delivery these people meals.
