China is set to deliver a total of 25 J-10C fighter jets to Pakistan in a major boost to the country’s military capabilities to defend its airspace and the first batch of the combat aircraft has arrived a few days back.
Prime Minister Imran Khan congratulated the nation on the induction of the new multi-role J-10C fighter jets into the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and said that no one could cast an evil eye on Pakistan.
The premier also thanked neighboring China for delivering the fighter jets to Pakistan in a short period of eight months. “When F-16s were inducted 40 years ago, the whole nation was jubilant and now that time has come again as Pakistan is strengthening itself.” he said during his address.
“There was an attempt to create an imbalance in the region however, the induction of the fighter aircraft has again created an equilibrium,” the premier added.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also expressed full confidence in the armed forces and said that if anyone makes an aggressive move against Pakistan, it would be retaliated by the armed forces with full force.
“A message went to the entire world after Pakistan’s response to the Balakot attack that we have full capability to defend ourselves,” said Prime Minister Imran Khan, adding that the real strength of the armed forces is a united nation with a synchronized vision.
Furthermore, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar said that PAF is fully prepared to deter any aggression of the enemy. “JC-10 is a fully integrated weapon, avionic and combat system and its induction into PAF would further strengthen its professional capabilities,” he added.
Prime Minister along with the three services Chiefs inspected the J-10C aircraft and also sat in the cockpit where the premier was given a briefing about fighter jet.
