Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has reduced fares (ticket prices) for Umrah pilgrims as Saudi Arabia has lifted all COVID-19 restricts nearly two years since the start of the pandemic. According to the details, the PIA has reduced its fares of return flights from Madina and Jeddah to Rs. 95,628, which was above Rs. 100,000 earlier.
The national flag carrier operates several flights to Saudi Arabia from major cities of Pakistan, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar. PIA operates Flight PK-9759 is operated from Lahore to Jeddah, PK-9741 from Islamabad to Jeddah, PK-9731 from Karachi to Jeddah and PK-9735 from Peshawar to Jeddah.
PIA has announced a reduction of Rs. 5000 in the ticket prices on the return tickets for Umrah pilgrims for these flights as more passengers will travel to the Kingdom since COVID-19 restricts have been lifted, including following social distancing and wearing of masks outdoors.
Furthermore, the travelers to Saudi Arabia will no longer be required to undergo mandatory coronavirus quarantine upon their arrival as well as provide a PCR test report.
