The authorities in Rawalpindi have announced a Public Holiday on 22 March 2022 (Tuesday) and 23 March 2022 (Wednesday in the city on account of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Minister (CFM) conference being held in Islamabad and the Pakistan Day Parade, respectively.
The development was confirmed through a notification issued by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi. “The competent Authority has declared Tuesday, the 22nd March, 2022 as Public Holiday in territory of Tehsil Rawalpindi / Rawalpindi Cantonments on the occasion of the 48th Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) conference being held in Islamabad and 23 March Pakistan Day Parade in the larger public interest.” said the notification.

It bears mentioning that Islamabad authorities have also announced a public holiday on Tuesday (22 March 2022) and Thursday (24 March 2022) on account of the OIC CFM conference, while Wednesday (23 March 2022) is already a public holiday on account of Pakistan Day.
