Excise & Taxation Dept Sindh to issue new Number plates from 28 March

KARACHI: The Excise & Taxation Department Sindh has finally announced that New Registration number plates with security features and design will be issued from 28th March 2022.

Sindh Government said ‘After years of litigation through different cases, Sindh Government had gotten stay order vacated against procurement of number plates. Now the delivery of newly designed number plates with various security features has started. From 28th March, the normal supply of number plates will start. – Barrister Murtaza Wahab.

Over a year ago, Sindh Government decided to change the design and add security features in Number Plates, However, due to some legal hurdles Excise & Taxation Department was not able to deliver them to the registered vehicles.

According to Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Administrator Karachi and PPP’s focal person from 28th March 2022. Sindh Excise & Taxation Department will start the supply of new Number Plates.
