Islamabad Police Introduces Online Complaint Portal

Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police has launched an Online Complaint Portal or Complaint Management System (CMS), which is going to allow citizens of the federal capital to register their complaints without visiting a police station.

According to the details, the citizens can now register complaints with Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police using the Online Complaint Portal or CMS at complaints.islamabadpolice.gov.pk, which allows online registration of complaints without the need to visit the their respective police station.

The citizens of the federal capital can register several different types of complaints using the online CMS portal. According to the details, the options for the nature of complaint include:

• Registration of FIR
• Complaint of Investigation
• Complaint Against Police
• Crime Against Women and Children
• Traffic Complaint
• Overseas Pakistanis Complaints
• Foreigners Complaints

Once the citizen registers the complaint, it will be forwarded to the concerned police department and the record will be maintained in the CMS with senior ICT Police Officials able to monitor the progress of these complaints.

This is a much-appreciated step by the Islamabad Police to launch an Online Complaint Portal for the convenience of the citizens of the federal capital, who had to visit the nearest police station to register their complaints. However, it bears mentioning that citizens are still allowed to do so if they feel more comfortable registering complaints face-to-face rather than using online means.

In another development, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has also launched a 1819 Helpline, which provides information about complete services provided by the CDA, Excise and Taxation Department, and ICT Police. However, the customers cannot register complaints with police using the helpline as it is strictly for informational purpose.
