The security agencies have reported an assassination plan to target Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan. The development came from Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry.
Taking to Twitter, Fawad Chaudhry said that the Government had decided to increase the security of the Prime Minister.
“Security agencies have reported that a plan to assassinate Prime Minister Imran Khan has surfaced.” Said Fawad Chaudhry on Twitter. “After these reports, the security of the prime minister has been increased as per the government’s decision,” he added.

It is pertinent to mention that political tensions are on the rise in the country ahead of the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, scheduled for 3rd April (Sunday).
It may be recalled that MQM-P has decided to side with the Opposition, which has given them majority with support of 177 MNAs to oust Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The premier had addressed the nation on Thursday and discussed a “threatening letter” received by the country which did not want him in power. Prime Minister Imran Khan named the United States in a slip of tongue as the country behind the threatening memo.
