The Sindh Government has announced a public holiday on 4 April 2022 on the occasion of the 43rd death anniversary of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
According to the notification issued by the Chief Secretary, the Sindh Government has announced a public holiday throughout the province on 4 April 2022 on the occasion of the 43rd death anniversary of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
All public and private schools, colleges, universities, and offices in Sindh will remain closed on April 4, Monday on account of the public holiday in the province. However, the notification does not apply to essential services and those engaged in prevention and control of COVID-19.
Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was the fourth president of Pakistan from 1971 to 1973 and then became the prime minister of the country from 1973 to 1977. In 1979, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was executed by the military regime of General Zia-ul-Haq, who overthrew his government and put him on trial on murder charges.
